on one side my running lights and brake lights aren't working properly, if brakes are applied they work and turn signal, but just don't stay on in normal function mode, driver's side is fine. I'm leaning towards a realy problem.

I just want to be clear on the lights we are discussing. The side running lamp you mean the front amber lamp on the side correct. The turn signal is not working on that side also when the brake is not applied correct, if so, not the front or the rear turn signal work?
